Product tags are versatile marketing tools used across industries—from fashion retail to artisanal goods. Whether for pricing, sizing, care instructions, or brand storytelling, a well-designed tag communicates value at a glance and supports the customer’s buying decision.
Many brands rely on custom tags to enhance presentation without reprinting primary labels. Our premium tags are produced quickly with crisp color and durable finishes, giving you professional results at competitive prices.
We offer over 16 different sizes with multiple premium paper options. From the velvety touch of our 16pt Matte to the rugged eco-charm of our 18pt Kraft, your tags are the first thing your customers touch. Make that tactile moment count—it shapes their entire perception of your brand.
Customer experience improves with properly designed marketing tools. Consider this a possible deal-breaker between a browsing customer and a confirmed sale. When a customer picks up a garment or product, they notice the label first. Then they look for the hang tag—the authentic detail that tells them your story. They're hunting for more than price; they want proof of what makes your product special.
The tactile dimension of hang tags communicates instantly through paper choice. A delicate message pairs with light 14pt paper; a bold statement demands the weight of 18pt Kraft. We help you select the exact paper thickness and texture that matches your message. That strategic choice—light versus substantial—adds immediate, tangible value your customers feel in their hands.
Whatever quantity or paper weight you choose, our competitive pricing keeps premium marketing assets within reach. We employ the same lithography technology used by major fashion houses, delivering crisp text and vibrant CMYK color with deeper blacks and flawless output. Crafters, artisans, soap makers, and retailers all find custom assets here that match their needs and budgets—no premium costs, just premium quality.
Having many options to choose from can be challenging, but we prefer to have it all available for you during your hang tag paper stock selection, and let you decide what's best for your project. The feel and thickness of your tags are an essential part of the process and should be considered seriously. Here are some paper stock picking tips for you:
This is used by most retailers. Customers expect thick, sturdy, high-glossy UV tags on quality products. Going with this paper thickness will never make you regret it. UV protection deepens printout colors and shields against moisture and scratches—ideal for apparel that demands durability.
Warning: When UV coating is applied, writing on the tags is not recommended, and is only achievable with special sharpies. If you wish to be able to write on the back of the hang tag, then you need to order it with UV Front Only option.
This paper is a bit thicker the our standard 14pt paper, and also has the unique sober dull finish some people love. In this case, dull means sophistication, with a very nice silky and smooth texture that will make it feel expensive. This is top-choice for high-end luxury boutiques, jewelry designers, and any brand that wants to focus on carrying elegant luxury items.
Made from 100% recycled fibers, this special paper appeals to nature-conscious brands. Its dark brown color signals eco-awareness without marketing jargon. Adventure and outdoor brands choose it because customers respond positively to its authenticity. That raw, natural texture immediately evokes the adventure feeling the moment you see it or touch it.
Note: for this, we recommend using accordingly colors for printing, as we dont have white ink to be used as a base.
We offer about 20 different sizes because every industry application has unique requirements. One size doesn't fit all brands or budgets. Here's how our customers use each size across their industry applications:
The Minimalist. Best option for small items, a larger hang tag than the product size will not look appropriate and may distract the view, so with this one we have you covered. Common uses: Jewelry labels, size markers (S/M/L) attached to a main label, or "Thank You" labels tied to a bag handle.
The Classic. Familiar to anyone who's seen a business card, this standard US size solves every common need. It pairs consistency with affordable pricing. Many brands match this size to their business cards for unified branding across all customer touchpoints.
The Slim Extended. The extra taller space, will allow you for some extra creativity, like adding a QR-Code, or bigger pricing, without getting to close to your logo area. Ideal for t-shirts and hoodies.
The Bookmark size. We have already seen customers ordering bookmarks to use them as hang tags, so this is no surprise that we will include bookmark sizing into our hang tag product for sure. These are popular as it looks elegantly long strips for specialized items. We see these used often on Denim Jeans (attached to the back belt loop), Wine Bottles (hanging from the neck), or as actual bookmarks included as free gifts.
The Modern Square. Becoming more popular as the years passes on, these are considered as a larger square that brings up a beautiful and contemporary "Instagram-ready" look. These are fantastic choice for artisan candles, soap boxes, and bakery packaging where you have a larger surface area to cover.
The Storyteller. If you are able to fold the tags, this is a good choice for you. Available in 2x4 (folds to 2x2) and larger. These are cute mini-brochures that gets often place inside for "Care Instructions," "Our Origin Story," or a "Return Policy." Essential for high-maintenance garments.
Note: We no longer process folded tags through our standard web-ordering system. If you need folded tags, please contact us first to discuss your specific run.
Folded tags work when a single surface isn't enough. Brands use the multi-panel design for larger logos, detailed images, or information-dense sections without crowding.
These panels are also meant for the inclusion of legal data, instructions for washing garments, country of origin, or a barcode section. All on its own space and breathable to see and read. Our affordable hang tag printing handles folded retail product labels perfectly.
We print and score the tags while they are open, and ship them opened too, then you can fold the tags by the score section yourself once in your hands.
All our hang tags come with an optional 1/8" (0.125 inch) drill hole. This is the industry standard size, designed to fit:
Positioning Matters: We have 3 main position options for the hole, on our pre-design templates we show you the 3 options marked with a red-circle on the each final hole position (the Top Center, Top Left, or Top Right).
Design Tip: Download our pre-designed templates so you can see exactly where the hole positioning falls in within your design, to avoid having the logo punched through.
We cover every apparel and fashion need from streetwear to bridal gowns. Streetwear brands often use glossy clothing tags with vibrant graphics and pricing. Sustainable brands prefer Kraft or Uncoated product hang tags to mark a difference and support the environment. Bridal shops love the Pearl stock for elegant apparel labels.
When selling candles, a folded tag communicates ingredient sourcing, fragrance descriptions, and critical safety warnings. A durable hang tag asset provides the transparency today's conscious consumers expect while protecting you from liability.
Making specialty sauces, oils, or wines for limited runs? Tags cost far less to change than reprinting adhesive labels. Hang a tag on the bottle neck, test local markets, and iterate based on feedback. Your tags adapt faster than your label inventory ever could.
Personalize party favors with affordable hang tag printing. A 2x2 label with "Thank You" and the date, printed on our shimmering 18pt Ultra-Premium Pearl stock, adds a luxury touch to simple favor boxes. Perfect for merchandise labels at events.

Common questions about hang tag specs, files, and ordering.
Reading the specs 14pt to 16pt, and glossy to matte, you might not notice much of a difference, right? But these are completely different type of paper and created for 2 completely different customer experiences and product selection. The difference comes within the thickness, the way you appreciate the colors, the softness of the matte, shiny deeper colors from the glossy UV finish. We recommend you think about it for a few minutes to see what’s the ideal and expected finish you wish on your product hang tag before deciding. 14pt thick paper is the standard one, used mostly for 60% of all hang tags printed by CheapFASTprinting, the 16pt matte, gives smoother final touch feel for more luxury and unglared printing content.
By choosing the right stock and finishing, you are capable of getting writable hang tags. For this, avoid the UV coating on the section that you wish to write on. The 14pt uncoated, 16pt matte and 18pt kraft papers are ideal for this purpose. If you want to write in the back only, you can add UV coating to the front and non-UV on the back too, this will work just as fine.
Unfortunately, no, we don’t include these with your order, we only take care of the printing and hole drilling parts. We hope to introduce strings, ribbons and pins to get sold separately in the near future.
Our favorite eco-friendly paper for hang tags is the 18pt Premium Kraft stock that is made from visible compacted recycled fibers being 100% recyclable, making it an excellent choice for sustainable and eco-conscious brands.
Hang tags are made out of paper, so we don’t recommend or consider it water-resistant in all of its flavor. But with the help of our High Gloss UV additional protective coating, we can assure that ink and paper will last longer to any light splashes of water, humidity and many other scratches and eventualities that can occur during product handling or display.
All of our hang tag sizes will carry the same drill hole of 1/8" (0.125 inches). This is the standard industry hole measure that will fit with any aftermarket clips and strings.
The bleed effect consists in extending non-essential background colors or images beyond the trim cutting line, so after the hang tag gets cut off, it will look like the printer printed it all the way to the edge of the paper. For this you need to allow at least 1/8” (0.125” each side) additional covered space.
We offer many complimentary design services, including building a unique hang tag design, running edits on your design, providing logo setup, and other graphic design services like QR-code creation, all at no extra cost.
Absolutely yes, we can even generate a custom QR code for you and add it to your design upon request. These are great for linking to your website or social network like TikTok or Instagram. We encourage customers to use QR-codes on non-reflective surfaces like matte or uncoated as the glossy finish glare can interrupt the correct reading of the code.
We prefer JPG format with color settings set to CMYK. To avoid object shifting, font changes and many other possible issues. If your file is not JPG CMYK, we could need to send you a final email design proof on how the files will look after we set them up with the correct printing formats. We also accept high-resolution (300 DPI) JPG, TIFF, PSD, and AI files.
This hang tag folding service is currently unavailable through our printing processing online system. Please contact us to see if we can make an exception for your order.
Screens use RGB (Red Green Blue) light to display the colors, while printers use CMYK (Ink) to put the image on the paper canvas. Some neon or very bright RGB colors cannot be printed perfectly in ink. We will convert all files to CMYK before printing, which may shift the colors slightly on the final output. To avoid any surprise, we recommend designing in CMYK mode for accuracy and crisp results.
Yes, we offer "Rounded Hang Tags" as a specific product option for you. The standard radius is 1/4". This gives a softer, modern look and feel compared to the sharp square corners. If you want to level up the game with a delicate finish, this is a great choice.
Standard production takes 2-4 business days to be printed and ready. This does not include the shipping time to get to your door. Complex orders (Folded tags or special shapes) may take 1-2 extra days so we can make sure they are finished beautifully.
No. Each quantity (e.g., 1,000 tags) is for one design file only. If you need 500 of Design A and 500 of Design B, these are treated as two separate orders of 500. This is how we can keep the production flow efficient and the prices economically low as possible for you.
We can print as few as 100 tags (Digital Press) if you are just starting out, but the best price-per-tag value starts at 500 or 1,000 tags (Offset Press). We recommend higher quantities to keep your cost on the cheap side of the scale.
Yes, we offer Next Day Air and 2nd Day Air shipping options. Please note that "Rush Shipping" speeds up the delivery truck to arrive fast, but "Rush Production" (printing faster) is a separate option that may be available for standard stocks. We do our best to fit your deadlines!

I was looking for thick tags for my jeans and the 18pt Kraft is perfect. It's super rigid and the drill hole was clean—my hemp cords fit through easily without tearing. Definitely ordering more.
I had no idea how to design a price tag. The free design team helped me set up the bleed for my logo. The 16pt Matte tags feel velvety and expensive, way better than the DIY ones I was making.
Ordered the 2x3.5 glossy tags for my boutique. The High Gloss UV is VERY shiny and makes the colors pop. I just wish I had ordered the strings with them, but the tags themselves are 10/10.
I needed space for care instructions and a return policy. The folded hang tag option is genius. The score line is perfectly centered and they fold straight. Great quality printing on the inside too.
